This is a brand-new, just-built
(2005) house, 3 bedrooms (or make one an office!), 2 full bathrooms completely
tiled. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac right next to a "green zone"-an
area set aside by the town for nondevelopment, with banana trees and a
stream. Toucans and parrots can often be seen here.
The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, its own private bathroom and
large windows overlooking the "green zone". The dining area
has sliding glass doors out to the large, tiled patio which includes a
tiled, outdoor sink. The kitchen is fully appointed with fridge, stove,
oven, dishwasher, coffee maker...even dishes!
A small solarium for growing plants has a frosted skylight for natural
light. The comfy living room includes TV with cable. Bath towels and bed
linens provided. Washer and dryer. Secure carport.

The neighborhood: The house is located within
easy walking distance from downtown Atenas. It is near a school, daycare,
and a park which hosts the Farmers Market on Friday mornings. The street
is a dead-end road, so very quiet, and in a good neighborhood with several
new houses (in fact, many of the nearby properties belong to a family
of brothers and sisters). Within walking distance are grocery stores,
banks and ATMs, restaurants, the Central Park (great for people-watching!),
2 internet cafes, and plenty of small markets. Also here is the taxi "parada"
and the bus station. You can skip the expense of renting a car! (But if
you want to, we have a secure carport).
